You'll join the LimeBits team and help overturn the ancient traditions of software development. Your powerful JavaScript libraries and applications will lead ordinary users to new heights of creation, and help them discover talents they never knew they could express. As a key member of the team, you have a blue-sky opportunity to lead us in

creating well-organized, easy-to-use software libraries, APIs, and tools that open the LimeBits platform to software developers,
building application software that demonstrates Lime Bits capabilities,
iteratively refining the LimeBits interactions,
inventing new ways to deliver web software services,
expanding a community of open-source software developers,
facilitating content creation by individuals and groups.

QUALIFICATIONS:	* Experience designing and creating software libraries, APIs, and tools. * Expert programming experience using advanced JavaScript, including functions as objects. * Experience developing software with JavaScript frameworks such as Prototype, Scriptaculous, ExtJS, Dojo, MochiKit, Moo Tools, jQuery, or YUI. * Deep knowledge of JavaScript scoping, closures, AJAX, XMLHttpRequest, XML. * Understanding of browser DOM and cross-browser issues. * Experience developing innovative, ground-breaking software. * Interest in open-source software and content sharing. * Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong technical background. Curiosity, imagination, intuition. Software build + release engineer/developer

Your well-organized build/test/release system will help our team deploy robust, fresh software rapidly and frequently. As a key member of the team, you have a blue-sky opportunity to lead us in

automating, streamlining, coordinating, optimizing, and documenting our build/test/release processes,
managing our source code, common library development, configuration, team wiki, bug tracking,
managing branch/merge and database upgrade migration,
developing a bare-metal install/recovery procedure,
implementing monitors, reports, and statistics for build/test/release,
designing, developing, running, and analyzing program/system tests for correctness and performance,
designing and developing software engineering team tools,
developing additional features of the LimeBits platform,
driving best practices for build/test/release.

QUALIFICATIONS:	* Strong experience specialized in build/test/release engineering. * Experience with web service development, build, test, and release. * Solid knowledge of all phases of software development and deployment. * Expert knowledge of source code control, including Subversion and Git or Mercurial. * Programming experience with C, JavaScript, Postgres, Apache, XML. * Proficiency in build scripting with Make and Python, as well as Ruby, Perl, or shell. * Strong experience developing software test scripts, including Selenium. * Strong experience with Linux/Unix and open-source software. * Ability to work with frequent software builds and releases. * Interest in open-source software and content sharing. * Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong technical background. As a key member of the team, you have a blue-sky opportunity to lead us in

designing, implementing, and maintaining software from a security perspective,
assuring data integrity, privacy, and confidentiality, assuring software integrity,
performing risk/vulnerability assessments, scans, audits, penetration tests, and reports,
managing security credentials, authentication, authorization, logging, intrusion detection, and auditing,
implementing secure recovery, participating in incident response, and remediating vulnerabilities,
developing and implementing processes for information security and risk assessment,
driving security education, awareness, and best practices,
planning and implementing security policies and business continuity.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:	* Broad familiarity with all aspects of web software systems and architectures, including PC clients, network protocols, and databases. * Browser security models and XSS vulnerabilities. * In-depth experience with Linux/Unix security. * Security architecture, metrics, logging, reporting. As a key member of the team, you have a blue-sky opportunity to lead us in

Designing and establishing community/team interaction processes to apply and demonstrate LimeBits's share-and-refine model of code development.
Designing and establishing social experience and structure for productive, effective, distributed, grassroots collaboration via LimeBits.
Designing and promoting collaborative, open-source culture and ensuring healthy community morale.
Organizing and producing community-building activities, such as contests, discussions, games, festivals, and conferences, both online and in person.
Managing the specification, development, implementation, delivery, and acceptance of outsourced LimeBits projects.
Creating specifications, design documents, and planning documents for outsourced projects.
Facilitating tests, quality assurance, and usability feedback from community members, testers, and other stakeholders.
Establishing, evaluating, and improving technical project procedures for outsource projects.
Establishing distributed processes and procedures for collaborative projects, including tests, reviews, and reports.
Managing multiple simultaneous projects with diverse collaborative teams and with individuals.
Recruiting, encouraging, motivating, mentoring, and training LimeBits community volunteers and leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS:	* Skills in community experience design and team interaction design. * Strong interest in organizational behavior and building community cohesion. * Demonstrated leadership and communication skills in project leadership and management. * 2+ years leadership as software project manager or product manager. * Experience managing communications and relationships with external vendors and internal personnel. * Experience estimating costs and negotiating and implementing external/outsource deals and contracts. * Strong experience in ensuring compliance with software specifications. * Knowledge of the software development life cycle. * Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree. * Bonus: Experience contributing to open-source software development projects.
